Bakir’s Pillories: Out of Love Overview
While exploring Svartrau, Coen comes across a man being publicly displayed in one of Bakir’s pillories.
Taking the view that “anyone who stands against Brencis is on my side,” Coen fights the nearby soldiers and frees the man.
The man introduces himself as Nelu. As a reward, he asks Coen to go to Vicho in Altenmarkt, tell him Nelu’s name, and collect the goods that Nelu was supposed to receive.
How to Start & Location
Approaching the pillory in the northwestern part of Svartrau City automatically starts the quest.
Time Cost
During the conversation with the soldiers, choosing the option to demand the prisoner’s release advances time by 3 Time Segments.

- 100 XP

Bakir’s Pillories: Out of Love Walkthrough
- Approach the pillory to trigger the dialogue event.
- Tell the soldiers that you are there to free the prisoner. This costs 3 Time Segments.
- Fight the soldiers.
- Speak with the prisoner.
- The quest is completed.
Nelu’s Crime — Lore
Nelu lied that his daughter was already dead so that she would not be forced to take part in the Blood Mass.
However, his lie was eventually discovered.
One of his servants informed on him.
As punishment and a warning to others, his daughter was drained of all her blood, while Nelu himself was put in the pillory and publicly humiliated.
