Trouble with Silver Overview
While walking through the backstreets of Svartrau, Coen comes across a woman being questioned by a soldier.
According to the woman, the soldier is about to confiscate a silver brooch that holds sentimental value to her, as possession of silver is prohibited.
How will Coen choose to handle the situation?
How to Start and Starting Location
The quest starts automatically when you open a door leading into an alley near the northeastern gate of Svartrau.
Time Cost and Deadline
Speaking to the woman being questioned by the soldier costs 2 time segments.
There is no deadline.
Rewards
- 100 XP
- 1 Skill Point
If you take the brooch from the woman, you can also obtain the Silver Brooch, a silver valuable that can be sold for money.
Because it is made of silver, ordinary merchants will not buy it.
Apparently, there are certain conditions you need to meet in order to sell it. Currently investigating.
Trouble with Silver Walkthrough
- Listen to the conversation between the soldier and the woman.
- Choose “Enough. You leave her alone.”
- Fight the soldier.
- Speak with the woman.
- Complete the quest.
How to Get the Silver Brooch from the Woman
During the conversation with the woman in Step 4 above, you can pay her 50 denarii to take the Silver Brooch off her hands.
The Truth
Her story about the brooch being a sentimental keepsake is a complete lie—the woman actually acquired it with the intention of reselling it.
However, she had no idea how to find someone willing to buy silver, so she made up the story and tried to sell the brooch to Coen instead.
