How to Start and Where to Find It
After completing Bakir’s Pillories: Out of Love, you can obtain information about Vicho, which starts this quest.
Time-of-Day Restriction
This quest can only be progressed at night.
Time Cost and Deadline
Helping with the investigation costs 4 Time Segments.
Completing the quest advances time by another 2 Time Segments.
There is no deadline.
Rewards
- Completing the investigation of the murder scene grants 250 XP, 100 XP, and 1 Skill Point. (The XP was awarded separately, so there may be an additional condition involved. I will update this once I confirm the details.)
- After you are ready to leave, speaking to Vicho grants 250 XP.
- Defeating the boss grants 250 XP, 1 Skill Point, and the Mercenary’s Amulet, which increases weapon damage and reduces the Stamina cost of dodging.
- You receive a lead on Lacra.
- Vicho begins selling accessories, including Legendary-tier items.
What Is Simeon’s Key Used For?
After completing the quest, you can loot Simeon’s Key from Simeon’s body.
Use it to open the chest on the left side of the laboratory on the second floor. Among other items, it contains the recipe for Mortal’s Blood Infusion.

Quest Walkthrough
Since this quest can only be progressed at night, you will make frequent use of Shadowstep.
Enter Vicho’s Shop
At night, use Shadowstep to enter through the second-floor balcony.
After investigating the scene, speak with Vicho.
Branching Point
During your conversation with Vicho, a <Time to Decide> choice appears.
Avoid Being Spotted by the Guards
During this quest, guards who spot you will become suspicious and initiate combat.
There is also an option to pay a 200-denarii bribe, but this only costs you money and does not prevent the fight.
Investigate Doctor Simeon
Follow the quest markers and investigate Doctor Simeon’s shed, house, and warehouse in order.
Boss Fight
You will fight a Murohn as the boss.
After the battle and the following conversation, the quest is completed.
