Ancient Circles of Vale Sangora Overview

Coen arrives at an ancient ruin.

After discovering a fresco depicting a hero and symbols featuring serpent motifs, he realizes that this place was used as a proving ground for heroes.

How to Start

The quest begins when you approach one of the ancient ruins lined with stone pillars.

There is no time limit or time cost.

Rewards

There is no reward for this quest itself.

If anything, unlocking the Ancient Circle: ○○ series of quests could perhaps be considered the reward.

Examine the fresco on the wall inside the ruins.
Approach the altar and read the tutorial for Astral Communion.
Complete the quest.
The Ancient Circle: ○○ quest for your current location will automatically begin.

Spirits? Undead? I’m honestly not quite sure what to call them.

Did Ancient Ruins Like This Really Exist in Eastern Europe?

While it cannot be said that this was a direct inspiration, Romania in Eastern Europe is home to Sarmizegetusa Regia, a sacred site of the Dacian Kingdom where stones and wooden pillars were arranged in circular formations.

It was a major center of the Dacian Kingdom from the 1st century BCE to the early 2nd century CE, and is located in the Orăștie Mountains of present-day Romania.

The sacred area was clearly separated from the residential district and is believed to have functioned both as a place for religious rituals and as a symbol of royal authority.

Since The Blood of Dawnwalker is modeled on 14th-century Eastern Europe, these ruins would have already been around 1,200 to 1,400 years old by the time period the game draws inspiration from.
