This article covers the route taken by the author and the outcomes personally confirmed during that playthrough. Branches resulting from other choices are still being investigated.
Blasphemy Quest Overview
Gremla has been weaving banners for Brencis to keep him appeased and protect Laslea.
Although she has never been told why the banners are needed, Gremla has continued making them because she knows they must be completed.
However, someone has apparently torn down one of Brencis’s banners.
Unless the culprit is found, Gremla will be killed for her perceived disloyalty.
Starting Requirements and Location
During the Prologue, speak to Gremla near the center of Laslea to start the quest.
Time Cost
It has been confirmed that confronting the person who tore down the banner costs 1 Time Segment.
Deadline
The quest must be completed before all eight Time Segments in the Prologue have been used and Blood Mass begins.
Blasphemy Walkthrough
- Use Focus Mode to investigate the surrounding area.
- Collect the three pieces of evidence listed below.
- The evidence reveals that the culprit uses a walking cane and is bleeding.
- Speak to the villagers to identify the culprit. (As the Time Segment limit was approaching and it appeared that I would no longer be able to deliver the herbs to Esme, I abandoned the quest at this point.)
All Evidence Locations
There are three pieces of evidence to find:
- Footprints
- A small hole in the ground
- A torn, bloodstained scrap of the banner
All three are clustered together on the left-hand side of the path leading from Gremla’s location toward her house.
The interaction points are extremely close together, and you may need to adjust Coen’s position slightly before the game allows you to inspect each clue. A little patience may be required.
What Happens If You Fail the Quest?
Gremla incurs Brencis’s wrath. During Blood Mass, her body is hung up in front of the entire villagers as a warning.
Naturally, you will receive no quest reward.
