After discovering an Ancient Circle in the Briar Sloughs, Coen takes on its trial.
How to Start & Location
After completing Ancient Circles of Vale Sangora, approach the Ancient Circle in the Briar Sloughs to automatically start the quest.
Time Cost
1 Time Segment (consumed when completing the quest)
Rewards
Opening the chest required to complete the quest can reward you with items such as rings, silver valuables, and alchemical ingredients.
In my case, I also obtained the Potent Revitalising Tonic Recipe and the Mercurial Fervour Manual.
Opening the chest also awards:
- 250 XP
- 1 Skill Point
If you have upgraded Astral Communion, completing the trial also grants a permanent bonus to Witchcraft Ability Damage.
Walkthrough
- Approach the altar at the center of the circle and use Focus Mode to line up the correct distance and direction.
- Use Astral Communion.
- Fight and defeat all of the enemies that appear.
- Open the chest beneath the fresco on the Ancient Circle.
- Complete the quest.
