Review
The first thing that stands out is the pair of effects that reduce stamina consumption, helping make combat more manageable.
As for the remaining two effects, they could be described as either versatile or lacking specialization.
The Maximum Human Health bonus only applies during the day, while many of the supernatural enemies you frequently fight, such as Murohns and Vrakhiri, tend to be encountered at night. This means that situations where you can take full advantage of both effects at the same time are fairly limited.
As a result, there are many situations where, in practice, only three of its four effects are actually doing anything for you.
More importantly, it lacks any properties related to increased Activation Charge Restoration or Cooldown Reduction, which are among the most important effects in the game. Because of that, it lacks the kind of standout feature that would make it feel like a must-have piece of equipment.
If I had to point to its biggest strength, it would probably be its low management cost.
As you would expect from Legendary equipment, its basic defensive performance is high. A single pair works well both during the day and at night, and because it is Light Armour, you can use it at full effectiveness without needing Second Skin.
Still, considering that this is mercenary equipment, why does it provide bonus damage against supernatural enemies rather than bonus damage against humans?
Volk, who used to be a mercenary himself, seemed to talk almost exclusively about fighting other humans. I don’t remember him ever having much to say about fighting monsters…
