Drawing on her experience studying at a convent, she teaches Coen to read and write Latin.
She had lived while keeping the fact that she was a witch hidden from those around her, but when Coen was left lost and helpless after losing his homeland, she granted him the power of Witchcraft so that she could help him.

She is quite distant from the other villagers. In her own words, “There is no place in the village for an unmarried woman.”
She and Coen share a very close bond, and in one conversation, they both hint at wanting to leave Laslea and see the world beyond it together.
